3D Printer

3D printing technology consists in a 3 axis Computer controlled machine that using several different plastic/composite materials fused by a hot nozzle for making a plastic three dimensional model using FDM (Fusing Deposition Modeling).

Ultimaker 5S Bundle

Prof. Ernesto LimitiLaboratory : MiMEG-LAB

The Ultimaker 5S in Bundle configuration consists in a 3d printer integrated in a total printing system.

In this system there is an “air manager” dedicated to filter and dehumidify the air and a “material station” which allows a correct storage of the printing material and also allows a fast changing of the feed material. The 5S printer has two different nozzles and can build with two different kinds of building material e.g. rubber and PLA at the same time
