Dynamical Mechanical Analysis (DMA)

Short Description The sample is subjected to a periodic stress in one of several different modes of deformation to measure the mechanical and viscoelastic properties of materials such as thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, ceramics and metals.

Description of the technique DMA 1 Star Systems – Mettler Toledo – allows Dynamic mechanical analysis to measure the mechanical and viscoelastic properties of materials as a function of temperature, time and frequency. Measurements can be carried out in all standard deformation modes, even in liquids or at defined relative humidity levels. It is coupled to a liquid nitrogen generator for a free-standing production of liquid nitrogen and low-temperature operations.
